Canadian National wins Kansas City with $33.6b bid

U.S. railway operator Kansas City Southern said May 13 it had accepted Canadian National Railway Co.’s $33.6 billion acquisition offer, outbidding a $29 billion deal with Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd.

Kansas City Southern has notified Canadian Pacific that it intends to terminate their merger accord and choose Canadian National.
