The $311.7 billion California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) has allocated $350 million to a CenterSquare REIT joint venture strategy, according to a recent investment document.

As of June 30, CalSTRS’ real estate portfolio had a net asset value of $49.6 billion. The pension fund had a 16.5 percent actual allocation to real estate, against a long-term target of 15 percent.
