More than half (62 percent) of financial advisers currently allocate between 6 percent and 25 percent of clients’ portfolios to alternative asset classes, with 85 percent of them expecting to increase allocations to one or more alternative asset classes further within the next year, according to a recent independent survey conducted by CAIS and Mercer.
