CAIS, a platform dedicated to alternative investing, is cutting its fees to as low as 0.05 percent for feeder funds that direct investors to alternative assets, reported Sonali Basak for Bloomberg.
The lower fees are an attempt to democratize alternative investments and make the firm more transparent, Basak wrote.
CAIS is supported by alternative investment firms including Apollo Global Management and Hamilton Lane.
The new fee structure will apply to new funds, however, CAIS is exploring retroactively cutting fees.
