CA Ventures promotes John Diedrich to global head of investments
CA Ventures has promoted John Diedrich to the newly created position of global head of investments. In his expanded role, Diedrich will oversee all acquisitions and development activity throughout the United States, Europe and South America, with a specific emphasis on student and multifamily housing.
“John is a trusted leader who, over the past decade, has been instrumental in growing CA into the global, diversified investment management company it is today,” said Tom Scott, CEO of CA Ventures. “Our team and portfolio may be significantly larger than when John joined the firm, but the entrepreneurial spirit that has fueled our growth — and that John has instilled in his colleagues along the way — is more important than ever as we look to nearly triple the value of our portfolio over the next five years to $30 billion.”
Diedrich joined CA in 2008 as a senior financial analyst and was subsequently promoted to executive vice president of investments. He has been involved in every deal executed by CA during his tenure with the company — a period during which its portfolio valuation has grown from $400 million to $10 billion — while playing a key role in the firm’s expansion across asset classes and geographic markets, both domestically and internationally.
