CA Ventures promotes John Diedrich to global head of investments

CA Ventures has promoted John Diedrich to the newly created position of global head of investments. In his expanded role, Diedrich will oversee all acquisitions and development activity throughout the United States, Europe and South America, with a specific emphasis on student and multifamily housing.

Diedrich joined CA in 2008 as a senior financial analyst and was subsequently promoted to executive vice president of investments. He has been involved in every deal executed by CA during his tenure with the company — a period during which its portfolio valuation has grown from $400 million to $10 billion — while playing a key role in the firm’s expansion across asset classes and geographic markets, both domestically and internationally.
