CA Industrial and Barings break ground on 300-acre Savannah logistics site

CA Industrial and Barings have broken ground on its first phase of their I-16 Port Logistics site in Bloomingdale, Ga., a nine-building site totaling nearly 4 million square feet.

Construction of phase one of the three-phase project is anticipated to be completed by November 2022. Construction financing was provided by Hartford Investment Management Company (HIMCO).

Located on the Northeast corner of Interstate 16 and the newly constructed Jimmy Deloach Parkway extension to improve access between the Port of Savannah to the surrounding interstate network, I-16 Port Logistics is a four-hour drive to several major markets, including Atlanta, Orlando, and Charlotte, N.C., and roughly 15 minutes from the Port of Savannah. The first phase of the development consists of one cross-dock facility and two rear-load facilities totaling 1.1 million square feet.
