Broadshore Capital sells Illinois apartment complex

Broadshore Capital Partners has sold an apartment community in Illinois through a joint venture with an investment client.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Located at 970 Fairway Dr. in Naperville, Ill., the 210-unit Fairways of Naperville complex is located 30 miles west of Chicago. The 17-acre garden-style property includes 13 two-story residential buildings and a clubhouse, fitness center, dog park, and other amenities.

“Naperville is considered to be one of the Chicago area’s most desirable suburban markets,” said Alicia Fernandes, senior vice president at Broadshore. “With strong apartment demand, and a well-located and significantly improved asset, market conditions created an optimal time to realize the value added during our ownership.”

After acquiring the property in 2016, Broadshore said it immediately developed and implemented an extensive program of property improvements.
