BMO Wealth Management appoints new national head of banking

BMO Wealth Management has appointed Jim Duff as national head of banking for BMO Wealth Management's Private Bank, which serves high-net-worth customers. In his role, Duff will lead the growth strategy and risk management for the national banking business.

As national head of Banking for BMO Wealth Management's Private Bank, Duff will oversee the strategic development and delivery of customized banking solutions for high-net-worth individuals, families, and organizations, including closely-held and family-owned businesses.

Duff has been with BMO for more than 13 years—holding a number of progressive roles prior to becoming Regional Business Banking Head. Before to joining BMO, Duff served as a management consultant for Ernst and Young.

Duff is an active community member involved in a number of nonprofit organizations where he volunteers his time, such as the Women in Need Growing Stronger organization in Chicago. He currently serves as a member of the board of trustees for the Chicago History Museum.

Duff holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Illinois State University with a double major in Economics and Finance. He has also earned an MBA with a focus in Finance from DePaul University.
