BMO aligns F&C investment trusts to brand

BMO Real Estate Partners has aligned its two F&C branded property investment trusts to the BMO brand, after it received shareholder approval for the name change on May 30.

F&C Commercial Property Trust, a British investment trust, will now be named BMO Commercial Property Trust. It converted to a REIT on June 3. In addition, F&C Real Estate Investments Limited has also recently changed its name to BMO Real Estate Investments Limited. Shareholders approved the name change at its AGM in November 2018.

The changes follow the rebranding of the F&C Investments platform and savings schemes to BMO in 2018, and the renaming of several other investment trusts managed by BMO late last year, according to BMO. The two property trusts, which are widely held within BMO’s savings plans and through advisers and wealth managers, complete the transition of investment trusts within the range that have realigned their names to BMO.

None of the changes affect customers’ investments, with the aims and objectives of their investments remaining the same.

BMO Commercial Property Trust, managed by Richard Kirby, provides investors with exposure to prime commercial property in the United Kingdom. It is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index and aims to provide shareholders with an attractive level of income together with the potential for capital and income growth. The trust pays dividends monthly.

BMO Real Estate Investments Limited, managed by Peter Lowe, aims to deliver an attractive level of income together with the potential for income and capital growth from investment in a diversified United Kingdom commercial property portfolio.

The range of investment trusts managed by BMO, and their tickers, is as follows:
