Jefferson River Capital, a family office that invests on behalf of the Blackstone Group, has hired Bill Helm for the newly created role of head of real estate investments, according to Bloomberg.
The initial focus will be on multifamily, industrial and office properties in the Northeast and Southeast United States. Jefferson River has not made its first real estate investment.
Prior to joining Jefferson River in May, Helm worked about eight years at DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, a spin-off firm from Credit Suisse Group AG. And prior to that, he spent a combined 15 years at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
