Beacon Pointe CEO steps down, Matt Cooper appointed successor

CEO Shannon Eusey is stepping down from Beacon Pointe Advisors, a $62 billion registered investment advisory firm which she co-founded in 2002.

Matt Cooper, Beacon Pointe’s president and head of mergers and acquisitions, will become CEO. Eusey will transition to become chair of the firm’s board of directors. With more than 90 offices around the United States, the company has nearly 400 advisers and has completed 12 acquisitions. Eusey co-founded Beacon Pointe in 2002, becoming one of its first employees.

Cooper, an industry veteran with nearly 40 years of experience, has been with Beacon Pointe for 24 years. He holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Southern California.
