AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire W Capital Management, a U.S.-based private equity firm specializing in GP-led and direct secondary investments.
W Capital Management will be a part of AXA IM Prime (Prime), AXA IM’s fully integrated provider of investment solutions across private markets, including private equity, private debt, infrastructure and hedge funds.
W Capital Management was founded in 2001 and has been a pioneer in providing secondary market liquidity solutions to private equity GPs.
