Artemis Real Estate Partners buys senior living facility in Florida

AEW Capital Management has sold a 120-unit senior living facility in Cooper City, Fla., to Artemis Real Estate Partners for $37.5 million.

The senior housing occupancy rate in the United States decreased to 87.8 percent in second quarter 2019 from 87.9 percent a year ago, according to new data from the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care. This represents the lowest occupancy level since second quarter 2011.

Of the 31 metropolitan markets that comprise NIC’s Primary Markets, San Jose (95.7 percent) and Portland, Ore. (91.6 percent) experienced the highest occupancy rates in the second quarter. Las Vegas (82.3 percent) and Houston (81.1 percent) recorded the lowest occupancy rates.
