Altegris Advisors announced that Robert Naka has joined the firm as chief operating officer.
Naka will oversee the firm’s operations and IT departments to optimize the operational infrastructure of the firm’s systems, processes and personnel.
Previously, Naka was the COO at Salient Partners. Following a strategic review of the Altegris Advisors’ offerings and priorities to better meet the evolving needs of its clients, this appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to delivering best-in-breed alternative investment solutions to individual and institutional clients.
Altegris has additionally hired Leah Curtis as director of marketing and Preeti Malik as head of strategy.
At Altegris, Curtis will work closely with the firm’s distribution teams to develop marketing initiatives for key distribution partners and specific client segments.
Curtis joins the firm from Matthews Asia, where she was vice president of U.S. marketing. Previously, Curtis held senior roles at Calamos Investments and Partners Wealth Management.
Malik joins Altegris from Salient Partners, where she was most recently vice president of strategy.
