Knight Frank has published the 2026 Quantifying Technology in Real Estate’ Series, setting out how the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is driving a structural shift in the real estate industry. The series describes how technology is now a defining factor for how real estate assets are valued, built, occupied and financed, from the surge in data center demand to the growing expectation that every commercial building must be digitally ready for today’s business occupiers.

For most of the past decade, global real estate markets were shaped by the FAANG group – Facebook ,  Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google – and these companies’ platform-driven growth transformed logistics, retail and the office sector.
