Ho'omalu at Waikoloa Beach Resort, the first affordable housing development within the resorts on the Big Island of Hawaii, will begin construction in 2023–2024. This development will include 229 apartments from one to three bedrooms, expected to be long-term rentals. The plans also include a Hawaiian education theme, daycare, pool, fitness center, BBQ area and community center.
Ho'omalu at Waikoloa Beach Resort will be available to people earning 30 percent to 100 percent of the average median income for Hawaii County.
