Toesca Asset Management, based in Santiago, Chile, and Astarte Capital Partners, based in London, have announced a partnership targeting regenerative agriculture investments in Latin America, with a focus on Chile.
Toesca Permanent Crops II fund is planning to invest $350 million in a portfolio of regenerative and sustainable permanent crops. Toesca and Astarte have already committed approximately $45 million to kick off this program. The goals of this portfolio are to deliver returns through high-performance orchards meeting the highest operational, environmental and social standards. Beginning in the new year, the first investments will prioritize permanent crops due to a global increase in demand.
Combined, these firms bring experience in managing more than 82,000 hectares (200,000 acres) of natural capital assets in South America.
