Teams from UBS and Oppenheimer join Wells Fargo Advisors

by Elise Mackanych

Teams from UBS Wealth Management and Oppenheimer & Co., with combined assets of $760 million, have joined Wells Fargo Advisors.

From UBS, J. Kyle Mays joined Wells Fargo’s private client group in late December. Based in Texas, he joined with his client associate, Susan Love. Mays began his career more than three decades ago, having first registered with Hart Securities in 1992 and joining UBS in 2014.

After UBS changed its core compensation structure, the brokerage unit has seen a significant number of advisers departing for other firms.

Gary Weisner, alongside team Patrick Evens and Chase Matesich, has joined Wells Fargo from Oppenheimer on Dec. 12. Weisner produced $1.2 million in annual revenue from $380 million in assets. Weisner began his career in the industry in 1985 and joined Oppenheimer in 1991.
