Sales of service, logistics, hospitality and other robots rising worldwide

Sales of robots for agriculture, hospitality, logistics, medical and professional service roles have risen globally by double digits, though their design, manufacture and adoption vary by region.

Sales of professional service robots increased by 30 percent worldwide, with 205,000 units sold. Nearly 80 percent of the robots came from the Asia Pacific region, with 162,284 units sold. Europe followed with 33,918 units, and the Americas had 8,927 units sold. This is according to the World Robotics 2024 Service Robots report, presented by the International Federation of Robotics.

More than half of the professional service robots sold in 2023 were built for transportation and logistics. Sales grew by 35 percent, with nearly 113,000 units sold in 2023.
