RBC Capital Markets has named Erwin Van Der Voort as vice chairman of global investment banking. In this role, Van Der Voort is responsible for leading RBC’s private capital group, which includes investment banking services for hedge funds, investment holding companies, alternative asset managers and family offices.
Van Der Voort has spent more than two decades in the wealth management industry, with much of his career at Credit Suisse. There, he established the bank’s hedge fund investment banking business and held multiple senior roles across merger and acquisitions and sector coverage teams.
