Preferred Capital Securities, the dealer manager for Preferred Apartment Communities, has hired Derek Bonner as associate vice president for its national sales team.
Bonner will provide internal advisor support for the firm’s South-Central Region (Oklahoma and Texas).
Bonner joined PCS from American Funds, where he supported their Idaho, Montana and Wyoming regions as an internal wholesaler. Prior to American Funds, he worked as an internal for FS Investments. Bonner served in the United States Marine Corps as an Avionics Supervisor where he was awarded the Naval Achievement Medal. He earned a bachelor of science in finance from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and holds Series 7 and 63 FINRA registrations.
