by Released

NewEdge Wealth, a high-net-worth investment adviser, has appointed two new managing directors in North Carolina and Atlanta, according to a news release Jan. 29.

William deButts has joined NewEdge’s Atlanta office. Jimmy Patrick has joined the North Carolina office as its first adviser. Previously, both were partners and senior wealth advisers at Edge Capital Partners.

Beginning his wealth management career at Morgan Stanley, deButts established the firm’s Atlanta office, then became managing director at Convergent Wealth Advisors. He later founded Glenmore Advisors, which merged with Edge Capital Partners in 2014.

Patrick has been in the wealth management sector for more than 20 years, specifically in senior roles at Lehman Brothers, Credit Suisse and Morgan Creek Capital Management. He joined Edge Capital Partners in 2014.
