Listed infrastructure companies have announced several notable transactions during the past two weeks. Cellnex Telecom is selling approximately 3,200 sites in France, ENGIE has raised nearly $300 million in an equity sale, New Mexico Water Service has agreed to acquire Monterey Water Co. and VINCI and its partners are extending the Athens Corinth–Patras motorway concession in Greece.
Cellnex is selling more than 3,200 sites to Phoenix Tower International as part of its previous acquisition of Hivoy in 2021. PTI will acquire 1,226 telecommunications sites in dense areas in France, while simultaneously, PTI and its joint venture partner Bouygues Telecom will acquire 2,000 sites in dense areas. “Both agreements reinforce the rationale of the business model based on the neutral and independent management of telecommunications infrastructures and therefore represent a further step in the consolidation of this model in France and Europe,” says Àlex Mestre, deputy CEO of Cell
