London-based Legal & General (L&G) has appointed Andrew Rendel as investment manager.
In his new role, Rendel will be responsible for the origination and execution of equity investments in Clean Energy assets and companies at Legal and General Capital, the principal investing arm of L&G. Investments include solar and wind funds, clean energy asset management, and startups across the solar, flexibility and electric vehicle spaces.
Prior to joining L&G, Rendel served as the voluntary director of South East London Community Energy, where he provided strategic leadership on financial, commercial and legal aspects of community energy. He also has served as vice president at both Alexa Capital and Akereos Capital, and held several roles at Temporis Capital.
Rendel earned his BA from the University of Cambridge and an MA from King’s College London at the University of London.
