Global high-net-worth population sees biggest decline in size and wealth in more than a decade

The global high-net-worth-individual (HNWI) population dropped by 3.3 percent to 21.7 million in 2022, while the value of its wealth decreased by 3.6 percent to $83 trillion, according to Capgemini’s World Wealth Report.

According to the report, this marks the steepest drop in 10 years (2013-2022) and it is triggered by geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty.
