by Elise Mackanych

Former Truist advisers have left the bank and brokerage firm to begin Aria Wealth Partners, according to Securities and Exchange Commission records.

Paula Gunter and Caitlin Borland are set to co-manage and co-found the Charlottesville, Va., firm. Prior to this venture, Gunter had worked at Truist and affiliate firms since 2002. Borland served as vice president and wealth adviser at Truist Wealth since September 2021. Before that, she was vice president of equity finance sales at J.P. Morgan for three years.

Aria Wealth Partners is centered around a transparent client relationship and will offer investment management, retirement planning and other financial services.
