Edward D. Jones and Co. has announced an expansion of its managed account programs through the addition of 51 separately managed account strategies (SMAs). This addition brings Edward Jones’ SMA portfolio to 120 strategies and has become central to the effort of modernizing the firm’s product offerings, according to Advisor Hub.
High-net-worth clients are drawn to SMAs, due to the customization and possible tax benefits, said Russel Tipper, product leader, Edward Jones’ wealth management advice and solutions group, in a statement.
More than 8,800 of the 20,280 brokers at Edward Jones are using SMAs, and the firm plans to add more than 300 SMA options by the end of 2025. The incorporation of SMAs allows advisers to make decisions that best serve clients in a flexible, accessible manner.
