As Edward Jones continues to build out its suite of advisory offerings, including financial planning services, it is increasing the number of separately managed accounts (SMAs) it offers, aiming to nearly triple the number of available strategies by year-end.
Expanding the SMAs offered, exclusively through the Edward Jones Advisory Solutions Unified Managed Account (UMA) Models advisory program, will enhance the UMA’s innovative capabilities, such as a fully integrated direct index in its UMA, ongoing tax management and the ability to tailor portfolios to clients’ values and preferences.
Russ Tipper, Edward Jones principal and head of products, said the firm expects to significantly increase client choice by adding more SMAs by the end of this year. Edward Jones first introduced SMAs as part of its managed account platform in 2011.
