Ashford Securities, a capital-raising platform for investment opportunities advised by Ashford, has hired Neel Patel as its new senior director of national accounts.
Patel will be responsible for building and strengthening Ashford’s strategic relationships at wirehouse, regional and RIA firms.
Patel was previously a director at Cliffwater, an alternative investment adviser and fund manager. Prior to Cliffwater, he was a director, national accounts IBD/retail RIA, at Apollo Global Management; a vice president, senior national accounts manager at Griffin Capital Securities; and a director of alternative investments at Ameriprise Financial Services.
Patel earned his bachelor’s degree in business finance and management from Goucher College.
