Ares Management Corp. is launching a new fund that targets individual investors interested in allocating to the sports industry. This fund will make debt and equity investments in sports leagues, teams and businesses, in addition to media and entertainment companies, according to Bloomberg.
“While sports teams, clubs and leagues often draw much of the attention, we believe the broader potential ecosystem of sports, media and entertainment investing is significant and underpenetrated,” Ares said on its website.
This launch comes after an increase in Ares’ efforts to offer private assets to individual investors, and the firm plans to manage $100 billion in sports investments by 2028.
