Alternative asset fundraising offered to retail investors reached $47.56 billion year-to-date through May, according to a report from Robert A. Stanger & Co., Elaine Misonzhnik reported for WealthManagement.
That amount of capital is well on pace to surpass 2023’s $76.2 billion in alternative fundraising.
Non-traded REITs have seen a significant downtick in fundraising since their $33.2 billion raised in 2022. Through May, the asset class had raised just $2.66 billion.
Non-traded BDCs are the most popular investment product so far this year, with $14.9 billion of capital invested in them, followed by interval funds at $11.4 billion.
