Store closures: Twice the rate of last year as net decline now at highest level in five years
A record number of stores closed during the first half of 2020 across the United Kingdom, according to figures revealed by the Local Data Company and advisory firm PwC UK. About 11,120 chain-store outlets shut between January and June.

Cold storage accounts for 12% of warehouse space in U.K.
Cold storage in the United Kingdom accounts for approximately 12 percent of total warehouse space, with a further 1.551 million square meters (16.7 million square feet) currently under construction to cater for growing occupier demand, according to Savills and Cold Chain Federation.
