OP&F logs 6.91% net return

The $18.5 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) has secured a 6.91 percent net return for the second quarter of the year, with a year-to-date return of a net 10.78 percent, according to a second quarter performance review from general investment consultant Wilshire.

The total fund’s return for the one-year ending June 30 was a net 27.78 percent, against a benchmark return of 24.54 percent, stated investment committee notes from Aug. 25.

Townsend presented a performance review for the OP&F real estate portfolio for the first quarter of 2021. For the quarter ended March 31, the real estate portfolio had a 2.5 percent net return. The real estate portfolio is currently valued at $1.70 billion, or 9.12 percent of the total OP&F portfolio. The target allocation for real estate is 12 percent.
