JP Morgan Asset Management will launch a private credit interval fund

by Elise Mackanych

JP Morgan Asset Management plans to launch its first private credit interval fund, according to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

This fund, JPMorgan Credit Markets, will invest in various credit sources, such as loans, collateralized debt obligations, bonds, asset-backed securities and more. This strategy has become increasingly popular among private investors as managers seek to offer more private market strategies.

“We have had strong capabilities in the private credit space for many years, and we’re seeing increased demand for access to these capabilities in the wealth management market. Expanding access to private credit for this client segment is the next step in the growth of private markets,” said the CEO of JP Morgan Asset Management, George Gatch, in a statement.

JP Morgan Wealth Management offers investment products, wealth planning and investment management. It currently oversees more than $3.4 trillion in assets under management.
