U.K. multifamily: $357m transacted in Q4 brings total investment in 2019 to $3.12b

About £273.8 million (€320 million/$357 million) was invested into the United Kingdom’s multifamily housing sector (build to rent) in the fourth quarter, bringing the total investment in 2019 to £2.4 billion (€2.8 billion/$3.57 billion), according to CBRE in its U.K. Multifamily Investment MarketView for Fourth Quarter 2019 report.

While full year total investment is down 22 percent from 2018, the outlook for 2020 is favorable. There is £1.5 billion (€1.8 billion/$1.95 billion) worth of deals currently under offer, illustrating the continued high demand for the multifamily sector.
