Top 30 most responsible asset allocators

by Jennifer Molloy

Institutional investors from around the world are focusing more attention on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, and responsible investing (RI) practices, according to New America’s The 2021 Leaders List: The 30 Most Responsible Asset Allocators. The biannual Responsible Asset Allocator Initiative (RAAI) Index was developed  in partnership with the Fletcher School at Tufts University in Boston.

The index analyzes and rates approximately 250 sovereign wealth funds and government pension funds, comprising $26 trillion in assets on responsible investing and the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The top asset allocators (see table) set a global standard for leadership in responsible investing and provides a benchmark for the investment community to follow.
