Rising investment into residential sector bucks global trend

Institutional investment into the residential sector globally reached $110 billion in first half 2019, a year on year (yoy) increase of 9 percent, at a time when investment into all other major asset classes saw a decline, according to Savills Global Living report. Investment into the global residential sector has risen rapidly, increasing by 56 percent over the past five years, making it now the second most popular asset class for real estate investment, after offices.
