Office visits are still down 37% since COVID

Four years after the pandemic first hit the United States, prompting millions to work remotely, office visits are suddenly spiking, according to the data in the Placer.ai Office Index: February 2024 Recap. The report finds that in February, office visits nationwide were down 31.3 percent compared to February 2020 (the last “normal” in-office month before the pandemic) but up 18.6 percent year-over-year.

The Placer.ai Office Index: February 2024 Recap analyzes office visits nationally and in the following cities:  Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
