Office space leasing drops 7% in India in 2017
Net office space leasing fell by 7 percent to 30.57 million square feet in India’s top eight cities during 2017 on lower supply and concerns about protectionist policies of some countries at the beginning of the year, according to Cushman & Wakefield.
The eight major cities include Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
The consultant attributed this to a drop in supply by 18 percent, resulting in a shortage of quality spaces.
