Mori Building starts $5.5b real estate project in Tokyo

Mori Building Co. has started work on a $5 billion real estate project that will include Japan’s tallest building.

Completion is slated for March 2023.

The project will include offices, shops, residences, a luxury hotel and an international school, and furnished with 24,000 square meters (258,000 square feet) of greenery.

The 330-meter (1,082-foot) skyscraper, with space for both office and residential use, will be completed in March 2023 in the Azabudai-Toranomon district. It will surpass the current tallest building in Japan — the 300-meter (984-foot) Abeno Harukas in Osaka.

Mori Building will construct several buildings under the new project, which will cover a total area of about 8.1 hectares (20 acres), where it will also locate a hotel and an international school.
