JLL launches the FEDESSA European self-storage annual survey 2019

There is now 9.8 million square meters (105 million square feet) of space across 4,290 self-storage facilities throughout Europe, reported JLL in its recently launched FEDESSA European Self Storage Annual Survey 2019.

In the 12 months to September 2019, there were more than €250 million ($275 million) of transactions in the European self-storage market. As well as direct investment in self-storage real estate assets, JLL saw investors access the market through the creation of joint ventures and forward commitments. The direct level of acquisitions was slightly below the previous years, showing the lack of suitable assets in the market.
