Grocery-anchored real estate continues to be attractive for investors with consumers’ spending

Grocery-anchored real estate is typically a very safe bet for investors, known as essential real estate, especially since COVID.

During the third quarter 2022, Urban Edge Properties, a REIT that acquires, develops, owns, manages and improves shopping centers in and on the edge of urban communities,  reported record levels of leasing activity in the quarter and the company’s highest volume in more than six years.

Kite Realty Group Trust, which focuses on grocery-anchored real estate, raised its 2022 guidance based on its strong 2022 earnings. And Agree Realty Corporation, retail REIT, reported positive
