South Korea investment into Europe over 120% higher in 2019

South Korean investment into Europe grew by 122 percent year-on-year in 2019 to €12.5 billion ($13.9 billion) from €5.6 billion ($6.2 billion in 2018), according to the most recent data from Savills.

Preliminary figures from the international real estate adviser indicate that France is set to have been the biggest beneficiary of this increase in capital, boasting record volumes of investment; €4.5 billion ($5 billion) and 36 percent of the total (up from €355 million/$395million in 2018). Germany ranked second with 16 percent, €1.9 billion ($2.1 billion) of the total (compared to €1.3 billion/$1.5 billion in 2018), followed by the United Kingdom with 13 percent, €1.6 billion ($1.8 billion) of the total (compared to €2.2 billion/$2.45 billion in 2018).
