What percentage of U.S. wealth do women control, and what does this mean for financial advisers?

Women are already a major force in wealth ownership, controlling roughly one-third of global wealth, and projections show that figure rising to 50 percent by 2030 and 70 percent by 2050. Capgemini estimates women will inherit 70 percent of global wealth over the next two generations and manage two-thirds of household wealth by 2030.

This isn’t just about inheritance. Women are earners of wealth. They’re graduating college at higher rates, leading public companies, and founding private businesses. Women now drive 37 percent of global GDP and play an increasingly active role in capital markets.
