Landlords and developers prepare return-to-workplace strategies

The coronavirus pandemic has forced work and home life under one roof. The question on everyone’s minds is: Will everything go back to business-as-usual after the COVID-19 outbreak?

Office work and office life has changed. Will tenants return to their leased spaces? Will employees return to their desks?

Developers and landlords are preparing for offices to once again be filled, but are creating incentives and guidelines for their spaces to have a safe environment. The Well Living Lab, a Delos and Mayo Clinic collaboration dedicated to researching the indoor environment’s impact on human health, announced a comprehensive plan to study the design and operation of workspaces to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses. This will include research conducted in the lab, along with applications and interventions into corporate offices in the United States and internationally.
