February office visits are up 18.6% year-over-year

Four years after the pandemic first hit the United States, prompting millions to work remotely, office visits are increasing, according to the data in the Placer.ai Office Index: February 2024 Recap. The report finds that in February, office visits nationwide were down 31.3 percent compared with February 2020 (the last “normal” in-office month before the pandemic) but up 18.6 percent year-over-year.

Placer.ai’s The Office Index: February 2024 Recap analyzes office visits nationally and in the following cities:  Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

The index found:
