ESG standards: From alphabet soup to a cohesive menu

In the world of finance, ESG factors have become the tastiest topic of conversation. Investors are savouring reported ESG information and incorporating ESG-related considerations into investment decision making. This growing appetite for transparency has led to the development of ESG reporting standards, allowing organisations to disclose information on their ESG practices, performance and impacts. By adhering to these standards, real estate companies and fund managers can serve up consistent and comparable ESG data, enabling investors and other stakeholders to assess their ESG risks and opportunities, and fostering informed decision making.

Recognising the importance of ESG considerations, governments and regulators in Asia Pacific have joined the investment industry by implementing legislation and regulatory frameworks to drive ESG disclosures.
