University of Vermont commits $5m to Palatine debt fund, raises $279m

The $472 million University of Vermont and State Agricultural College has committed $5 million for Palatine Capital Partners’ third real estate debt fund, Palatine Real Estate Fund III, according to investment subcommittee minutes. The fund has now raised $278.9 million, according to a filing with the SEC. The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.

Palatine Real Estate Fund III is the third fund in the firm’s commingled discretionary value-add fund series. Palatine Capital Partners is a principal investment firm based in New York City that focuses on small and mid-cap real estate assets and pursues opportunistic direct real estate investments in all asset classes across the United States.

The University of Vermont has a target allocation for its global real estate portfolio of 6 percent.
