University of Vermont allots $10m for Blackstone Real Estate Partners X

by Kali Persall

The University of Vermont and State Agricultural College has approved a $10 million commitment to Blackstone Real Estate Partners X, according to a recent board meeting document.

Blackstone Real Estate Partners X, an opportunistic fund managed by Blackstone, launched in May to invest in diversified property types globally.

A fundraising target could not be determined at the time of publication. The fund’s predecessor, Blackstone Real Estate Partners IX (BREP IX), reached a final close in 2019 with $20.5 billion of capital commitments.

The most recent fund has gathered commitments from the Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) of the State of Illinois, the Teachers' Retirement System of Kentucky, the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System and the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement System in recent months.
