The University of Rochester (N.Y.) endowment earned an annual 14.3 percent return for its long-term investment pool for the fiscal year ending June 30, according to Douglas Phillips, senior vice president for institutional resources at the University of Rochester. The pool has a $2.3 billion market value.
Net annualized returns for the University of Rochester endowment include three years (4.9 percent), five years (9 percent) and 10 year (5.3 percent).
The 21 percent in public or private investments in emerging markets, primarily in Asia, were a key factor in fiscal 2017 performance, and the endowment is unlikely to change the allocation.
